PvP dervish help
Hey All,
Until now I have only played PvE guild wars, but yesterday i tried some PvP and I liked it (played RA).
Now because I only played PvE my build wasn't really good, so I searched on the PvX wiki for some dervish PvP builds. I found a couple which looked like they work, examples:
OgCjkyqJbSAYMXAAAAYikbibCAA
OgGjkyqG7Oy3A8AmpUgJ3ibBA
OgGjkyqKLOA4BsR5/KuLwkbBA
OgCjkyqG7Oy3As3GdzcbuibBA
but none of these build uses auro of holy might, which is (as i have read, because I havent unlocked the skill yet) one of the best enchantments for a dervish.
So is there a reasen why these builds dont use it, or is aohm not used much in PvP.
sorry for the noobish post.
greetings

Aura of Holy Might is a PvE-only skill, and simply can't be used in PvP.

RA isn't proper PvP,try some AB instead as it's slightly more organised.Go to pvxwiki.com for the best builds and you can then experiment variations to your liking.

Ok, thank you for the reply.
I do have another question, skills that you unlock with balthazar faction points, do they also become available with the PvE portion of the game?
thx

By unlocking skills using Balthazar Faction they become available at the various Skill Trainer's scattered around the campaigns, you still have to purchase them individually for each character, but the skills might be available earlier then they would be otherwise in PvE.
(note: skills are still campaign-restricted, you won't find any Dervish skills for sale in Prophecies, for example)

Ok, thx again, but I still have some quick questions :-)
At the moment, I am playing a D/W in the nigthfall campaign.
And today I saw the 130hp D/Mo farming build.
If I would change my secondary profession to monk, Will I, at that point be able to buy the skills I unlocked for my Hero Monk?? Or do I have to unlock them again?
and If I would change back to Warrior, will all my unlocked skills be intact?
This is the last question!
If I would again start the nightfall campaign with another dervish would I immediately be able to use the skills I unlocked with my previous dervish?
thx for your reading

Unlocking skills happens account-wide, all your Heroes/PvP character's will be able to use any skills you have unlocked on your account. Once unlocked, these skills will remain unlocked indefinetly.
So yes, any Monk skills you have unlocked for your Hero Monk will be available for purchase to you.
When you change your secondary profession to Monk, you lose your Warrior skills, but these will be returned to you when your secondary profession is switched back to Warrior.
When you create a new Dervish, any skills you had on your previous Dervish (with the exception of Elite skills) will be available at the Skill Trainer's, you'll have to purchase these skills first in order to use them.

I'm not terribly familiar with the d/mo 130hp farming build, but make sure that (assuming you only own the Nightfall campaign) the Mo skills needed are either "Core" or "Nightfall" or else you wont be able to buy them (proph, eotn, or factions skills)

Once you unlock a skill, it is unlocked for your entire account. You can either go to a Skill Trainer and purchase the skill for 1 skill point and a bit of gold (the highest you'll ever have to pay is 1k), or, you can use a corresponding Tome that matches the Profession of the skill you are trying to learn (Monk Tomes to learn Monk skills, Warrior Tomes to learn Warrior skills, etc.). If you are trying to get an Elite skill, you will need to either capture it from a boss with a Signet of Capture or unlock it with Balthazar Faction and use an Elite Tome (again, matched with the Profession of the skill you want to learn) to get that skill on a PvE character.
Hope this helps!

I have not read the post to this thread so I am not sure if these have been mentioned so forgive me if I reapeat somethings.
Some few basic tips for PvP
If you are Mellee Always bring deep wound.
Always take an IAS ( increased attacking speed) and IMS ( increaded movement speed)
Snares such as cripple can be helpful but are not really needed, because you will already be running 25-33% faster.
do not bring self heals, exceptions for RA/AB only.
